Certain 2025 Murano, 2025–2026 Armada, and Infiniti QX80 vehicles are affected; involved VINs will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning December 12, 2025. A software error in the in‑vehicle infotainment system at startup can prevent the rearview camera image from displaying when shifted into reverse, causing noncompliance with FMVSS 111. Nissan will update the IVI system software free of charge via dealer or over‑the‑air update; owner notification letters were mailed February 2, 2026, and owners can contact Nissan at 800-647-7261 or Infiniti at 1-800-662-6200 (campaigns R25D6/R25D5/R25D7).
What's being recalled
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2025 Murano, 2025-2026 Armada, and Infiniti QX80 vehicles. A software error may occur in the In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system at vehicle startup, resulting in the rearview camera image not displaying when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
How to identify it
NHTSA campaign 25V821000; Manufacturer campaign R25D6, R25D5, R25D7
The hazard
A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
What to do

Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261 or Infiniti's customer service at 1-800-662-6200. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R25D6, R25D5, and R25D7.
