Baby floats with canopies sold via TikTok in the UK — baby floats with canopies, sunshades, umbrellas or other overhead coverings attached — are affected. They were recalled because the canopies can increase wind resistance and destabilise the float, risking the float being lifted, tipped over, pushed away, or otherwise causing falls, capsizing, separation from the caregiver, entrapment or drowning; they do not meet the General Product Safety Regulations 2005. TikTok has recalled the items and removed listings; consumers should stop using them and contact their place of purchase for redress.
