The hazard
The product presents a high risk of electric shock because the plug fuse contains insufficient filler material (ballast) and therefore does not meet the requirements of BS 1362. This material ensures the safe operation of the product under fault conditions. Should a fault occur, without sufficient filler the plug may overheat, and the product may catch fire.
