CCM Hockey Helmet FMHVR and ACCHVR Visors recall

CCM Hockey FMHVR and ACCHVR polycarbonate visors for hockey helmets are affected; FMHVR visors are marked “HVR” on the outside of the metal plate securing the polycarbonate visor to the age on the right side (looking through the visor) and ACCHVR visors have a serial number beginning with “SR” engraved at the top corner of the visor on the right side (looking through the visor). They were recalled because micro fissures can form around the screw holes and could lead to cracking if subject to a powerful impact. Owners should stop using the visors immediately and return them to their nearest participating retailer, or visit https://us.ccmhockey.com/recallform.html or contact customerservice@ccmhockey.com for more information.

The hazard

This could potentially lead to cracking if it were subject to a powerful impact, such as a hockey puck travelling at high velocity.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on Personal Protective Equipment.
