JKMAX heated blankets and heating pads (models JKMAX-002, JKMAX-7284B, JKMAX-6284B, JKMAX-10090B, JKMAX-8490B and JKMAX-6284B) are polyester, machine-washable, come in blue, gray, brown or red, have a detachable white remote with the model number on the back and a white label on the packaging with the brand "JKMAX," and were sold on Amazon from September 2022 through July 2026. They were recalled because the internal wire heating elements can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards; JKMAX reported 577 incidents including 53 burn injuries. Consumers should stop using the recalled products immediately and contact JKMAX for a full refund at 800-917-5732, JkmaxRecall@outlook.com, www.jkmaxrecall.com or via Amazon’s “Recalls and Product Safety Alerts.”
What's being recalled
This recall involves all heating pads and heated blankets sold by JKMax, including models JKMAX-002, JKMAX-7284B, JKMAX-6284B, JKMAX-10090B, JKMAX-8490B and JKMAX-6284B. The heated blankets and heating pads are blue, gray, brown or red. They are made of polyester fabric and are machine washable. The blankets and pads were sold in multiple sizes, and both have a detachable white remote that can be used to adjust the heat. The model number is located on the back of the remote and is also printed on a white label affixed to the product packaging along with the brand name "JKMAX".

The hazard
The internal wire heating elements of the blankets and pads can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers.
Incidents and injuries: JKMax is aware of 577 reports of blankets smoking, melting or burning due to the heating elements overheating, including 53 burn injuries.

Consumers should stop using the recalled blankets and pads immediately and contact JKMax for a full refund.
