Softcover Ladybird picture books — four Peppa Pig titles and one Hey Duggee title, specific 2020 and 2021 printings identified by a unique print number — are affected. They were recalled because the glitter varnish on the cover can lift and flake off, creating small parts that pose a choking risk, particularly to children under 36 months. Owners are advised to keep the books out of reach of young children and return them to the distributor for a full refund; for more information see the Penguin recall page or contact customersupport@penguinrandomhouse.co.uk.
