Mercedes‑Benz passenger cars including A‑class, A‑class AMG, B‑class, C‑class, C‑class AMG, CLA, CLA AMG, CLE, E‑class and others (model codes F2CLA, MMCLAE, F2A, R2CW, R2CS, R2EW, R2ES, R2S, R1SLAMG, R2CLECA, F2B, E2EQEW, H1GLE, R2CGLC, E2EQEX and multiple e1* approval numbers; barcode 4090105; batch 17.11.2022–04.12.2025) are affected. The wheel bolts were not tightened to the specified torque so the bolts and wheel assembly could detach while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of accidents, and the products are being recalled from consumers (voluntary, manufacturer).

The hazard

The wheel bolts were not tightened in accordance with the torque specifications. The bolts and the wheel assembly could detach while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of accidents.
