It was removed from an online marketplace because tests found excessive cadmium (up to 0.021% by weight) and bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP, up to 16.16% by weight); DEHP may damage the reproductive system, cadmium accumulates in the body, can damage kidneys and bones and may cause cancer, and the product does not comply with the REACH Regulation.

The hazard
The product has excessive concentrations of cadmium and bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured values up to 0.021% and 16.16% by weight, respectively). DEHP may harm the health by causing possible damage to the reproductive system. Cadmium is harmful to human health because it accumulates in the body, can damage the kidneys and bones and it may cause cancer.
The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation.
