Renault Austral passenger cars (type/model codes e9*2018/858*30002*13–*17, barcode 0EN9, batch dates 23.03.2023–23.01.2025) are affected. The ABS‑ESP control unit may have been incorrectly programmed so detected failures are not shown on the dashboard, so the driver may not be warned if braking functions (emergency brake assist, ABS, ESP, AEB, HBB, HBC) are unavailable, increasing the risk of an accident. Owners should follow the voluntary manufacturer recall.
