Stromer ST3, ST5 and ST7 Bicycles fitted with WREN Front Suspension Forks recall

Stromer ST3, ST5 and ST7 S‑pedelec bicycles fitted with WREN front suspension forks (bikes with automatic pedal support) are affected; they can be identified by the model names and the fitted WREN suspension fork. The WREN forks can fail prematurely — cracking, breaking or separating during use — which may cause the rider to lose control and be injured, and they do not meet the General Product Safety Regulations 2005. Stromer has contacted affected customers and advised they stop using the bikes immediately; replacement forks are being produced and owners should contact their authorised dealer to arrange a free replacement when notified.

The hazard

The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

What to do

The product has been recalled from end users.

Stromer have contacted affected customers and advised that they stop using the bikes immediately. Replacement parts are in production. Consumers will be notified once parts become available and advised to take their bike to their nearest authorised dealer.

Update: On 4th September 2026, the product recall was expanded.

This recall expansion concerns a batch with modified design (oval hole vs round hole), due to the possibility that these forks present the same safety risks as the recalled WREN forks.
