WARRIORS button batteries (pack of five, 3V, type CR2025) sold in cardboard and plastic blister packaging and labelled “Lithium Battery” are affected. They were recalled because the packaging is not childproof, making the batteries easily accessible and posing a choking risk and potential gastrointestinal injury if ingested. The product has been removed from an online marketplace (voluntary removal).

The hazard
The packaging is not childproof and therefore the button batteries are easily accessible to children. A child may put them in the mouth, and choke. The button batteries could also cause damage to the child’s gastrointestinal tract if they are ingested.
This product does not comply with the General Product Safety Regulation nor with the European standard EN 60086-4.
