2009-2020 Setra S417 and other models recall: Switch may fail to illuminate Correctly/FMVSS 101

Certain 2009–2020 Setra S417 and 2012–2019 Setra S407 vehicles are affected; the switches for the hazard warning lights, defroster, heating and air conditioning system, and fan speed may fail to illuminate correctly. They were recalled because the switches can be too bright, too dim, or not illuminated, causing noncompliance with FMVSS 101 and a distraction that increases crash risk. Daimler Coaches will repair the hazard warning lights switch free of charge; owner notification letters were mailed May 11, 2026, and owners may call Daimler Coaches customer service at 1-416-624-3558.
