Certain 2017 Ford F‑150 vehicles that were previously repaired under recall 17V053 are affected; they can be identified by an instrument cluster that may lose power after initial start-up in cold ambient temperatures, causing several gauges (including the transmission gear position indicator) not to illuminate. The instrument cluster failure means the vehicles do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 102 and increases the risk of a crash or injury. Dealers will update the instrument panel cluster (IPC) software free of charge; owner letters were mailed July 17, 2026, VINs will be searchable on NHTSA.gov on July 6, 2026, and owners may contact Ford at 1-866-436-7332 (Ford recall 26C26).
