2022-2023 AA55 and other models recall: Hydraulic system may have missing check valve

Altec Industries 2022–2023 AA55 and 2023 AM55, AN46, and AN55 vehicles are affected; 18 vehicles are potentially involved. A check valve that retains oil in the boom hoses may not have been installed, allowing a vacuum to form and reducing the upper boom’s insulation, which can conduct electricity to the operator or others and increase the risk of injury or death. Altec will provide inspection instructions, will install the check valve as necessary free of charge, mailed owner letters on February 10, 2026, and owners may call 1-877-462-5832.
