2022-2025 E-Transit recall: Loss of drive power from disengaged axle shaft

Certain 2022–2025 Ford E-Transit vehicles (32,160 units) are affected; VINs became searchable on NHTSA.gov on December 15, 2025 and owner letters were mailed April 3, 2026. Ford is recalling these vans because the left rear axle half shaft may partially disengage from the power drive unit, causing loss of drive power and possible rollaway if the parking brake is not applied; dealers will inspect and replace the rear half shaft and power drive unit components as necessary free of charge (Ford recall 25SD9, customer service 1-866-436-7332).
