2023-2024 XLR Toy Hauler recreational trailers whose listed Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) exceeds the weight rating on the upper deck chassis are affected. They were recalled because the incorrect GVWR label means the trailers fail to comply with FMVSS 120 and referencing the incorrect GVWR may lead to unintentionally overloading and increased crash risk. Dealers will install a corrected label free of charge; owners were mailed notification letters July 16, 2026, and can contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-642-0432 (recall 79-2067).
