Certain 2023–2025 Nissan Rogue vehicles equipped with the 3‑cylinder 1.5L variable compression turbo (VC‑Turbo) engine are affected; VINs will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning February 27, 2026. Increased temperatures can break down the engine oil, which may cause the engine bearings to seize and lead to engine failure, loss of drive power, or an engine fire. Dealers will reprogram the engine control module (ECM), inspect for diagnostic trouble codes, test drive the vehicle, and may inspect the oil pan or replace the engine as needed; repairs are free and owner letters were mailed April 8, 2026.
