2024–2026 AC Series Crane vehicles with a 26-foot insulating personnel jib (IJ26) are affected when the inside joints between the jib side plates and base plates have missing welds. Missing welds can cause the platform joint to fail and the platform to fall; Altec will advise owners to inspect the IJ26, to take any jib with missing welds out of service, and will add the missing welds or provide a repair procedure and kit free of charge (owner letters mailed July 23, 2026; 1-877-462-5832).
