2024-2026 Mustang recall: Wiring harness ground connection Failure/FMVSS 104, 108

Certain 2024–2026 Ford Mustang vehicles (VINs searchable on NHTSA.gov as of August 28, 2026) are affected. The engine compartment wiring harness ground connections may fracture, causing a loss of drive power or loss of the windshield washing system, headlights, air conditioning, or engine cooling fan, and failing FMVSS 108 and 104. Dealers will replace the engine compartment wiring harness ground terminals free of charge; interim letters were mailed September 5, 2026, additional letters will be sent when the remedy is available (anticipated March 2027), and owners may contact Ford at 1‑866‑436‑7332 (recall 26C40).
