Halcore Group, Inc. is recalling certain 2025–2026 Horton Type I, Type III, and Critical Care ambulances because the touchscreen display may stop responding to touch commands or fail to power on, preventing activation of exterior emergency lights and other emergency equipment. A loss of exterior lights can reduce vehicle visibility and inoperative equipment can delay emergency response, increasing crash or injury risk; Weldon Division of Akron will update the firmware and repair the power line free of charge. Owner letters are expected to be mailed October 5, 2026; owners may contact Weldon at 1-800-228-1161 or Halcore at 1-800-447-0343.
