2025-2027 Freightliner Business Class M2 recall: Insulation may catch fire

What's being recalled

Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is recalling certain 2025-2027 Freightliner Business Class M2 vehicles. The underbody insulation may contact hot exhaust components.

How to identify it

NHTSA campaign 26V635000; Manufacturer campaign F1041

The hazard

Insulation that comes into contact with hot exhaust components increases the risk of a fire.

What to do

The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 30, 2026. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is F1041.
