2026-2027 Cedar Creek recreational trailers recall: Slide switch may be missing overcurrent protection

What's being recalled

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2026-2027 Cedar Creek recreational trailers. The slide switch may have been installed without proper overcurrent protection.

How to identify it

NHTSA campaign 26V681000; Manufacturer campaign 20-2105

The hazard

A unprotected slide switch can cause the wire to overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

What to do

Dealers will re-route the 12V slide switch wiring, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 15, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-260-593-4000. Forest River's number for this recall is 20-2105.
