2026 Ioniq 9 vehicles equipped with a Limited and other models recall: Power rear seats may trap a person

Certain 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 vehicles equipped with the Limited, Calligraphy, or Calligraphy Design trim packages are affected; check your vehicle if it is a 2026 Ioniq 9 with one of those trim options. The second-row power seats may fail to detect a person and can continue moving after contacting someone during powered functions (such as automatic power fold-and-stow), which could trap a person, especially a child. Owners should exercise caution when using second-row power seat functions, keep children out of the rear seating area during power-folding, and Hyundai will inspect and update the seat software over-the-air or at a dealer free of charge.
