2026 Triumph and other models recall: Missing pedestrian warning Sounds/FMVSS 141

Certain 2026 Triumph, Turbo, TurboLite, Trophy, and Trophy Plus vehicles are affected; they may lack the acoustic vehicle alerting system (AVAS) that provides pedestrian warning sounds. They were recalled because the missing AVAS prevents the vehicles from meeting FMVSS 141 and could fail to alert pedestrians, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. Teko will provide an AVAS kit free of charge; owner letters are expected to be mailed August 17, 2026, and owners may contact Teko Customer Care at contact@tekoev.com.

What's being recalled

Teko Inc (Teko) is recalling certain 2026 Triumph, Turbo, TurboLite, Trophy, and Trophy Plus vehicles. The acoustic vehicle alerting system (AVAS) may not have been installed, preventing the vehicle from making pedestrian warning sounds. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 141, "Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles."
