Certain 2027 Peterbilt 548 trucks (58 vehicles; NHTSA campaign 26V567000, manufacturer campaign 26PACF) are affected. The front brake valve and hoses may be the incorrect size, which can delay rear service brake application and release and trailer gladhand application times, causing a noncompliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 121 and increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the front brake valves and hoses free of charge; owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 31, 2026, and owners may contact Peterbilt at 1-940-591-4220.
