2027 Surveyor recreational trailers recall: Exterior outlet may lack GFCI protection

What's being recalled

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2027 Surveyor recreational trailers. The exterior receptacle may not be wired to a GFCI circuit.

How to identify it

NHTSA campaign 26V647000; Manufacturer campaign 37-2103

The hazard

An outlet without GFCI protection may fail to shut off electrical power when a ground-fault occurs, increasing the risk of injury.

What to do

Dealers will rewire the exterior outlet, free of charge. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-642-3119. Forest River's number for this recall is 37-2103.
