Certain 2027 Kia Telluride and Telluride Hybrid vehicles are included in this recall; affected vehicles are identified by model and year and VINs that will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning June 16, 2026. The driver seat belt emergency locking retractor may lock and prevent the seat belt strap from extending, meaning the vehicles do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 209 and could fail to restrain an occupant in a crash. Dealers will replace the seat belt assembly free of charge; owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 31, 2026, and owners may call Kia at 1-800-333-4542.
