Disposable electronic cigarette AIVIOU WASPE sold as “3in1, 5 % NICOTINE, 60000 puffs” (types Strawberry Raspberry Cherry, Love 666, Cherry Candy Ice; barcode 1940400092870) in a plastic bag inside a cardboard box. It was recalled because it contains an excessive volume of nicotine liquid (54 ml) and excessive nicotine concentration (50 mg/ml), posing acute toxicity risk if it contacts skin or is ingested; the product must be destroyed (compulsory, retailer).

The hazard
The product has an excessive volume of nicotine-containing liquid (54 ml) and an excessive concentration of nicotine (50 mg/ml). This could lead to the accidental consumption of a high dose of nicotine. Nicotine is acutely toxic and can endanger the user’s safety, notably if the product comes into contact with the skin or is ingested.
The product does not comply with the requirements of the Tobacco Products Directive.
