Flail-type cutting attachment for a brush cutter with two metal chains (barcode 769869449343), originating from the People’s Republic of China. It was recalled because the bolts or rivets attaching the chains could break, allowing chains to detach during use and hit the user causing injuries, and the product does not comply with the Machinery Directive nor with Commission Decision 2012/32/EU prohibiting such flail-type attachments. The product is being removed from the online marketplace (voluntary, other).

The hazard
The bolts or rivets attaching the chains to the flail-cutter could break. The chains might consequently detach during use and hit the user causing injuries.
