The hazard
On certain vehicles, a connector on the taillamps could be damaged. As a result, stop lamps, reverse lamps and/or rear turn signals may not work.
Stop lamps, reverse lamps and/or turn signals that don't work could cause a person not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking, backing up or intends to turn or change lanes. Taillamps that don't work could make the vehicle less visible to others. These issues could increase the risk of a crash.
What to do
FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the taillamp(s).
