JATCO transaxle assembly automatic transmission part numbers 31020X274D and other models recall: Instrument panel may fail to display selected Gear/FMVSS 102

JATCO transaxle assembly automatic transmission part numbers 31020X274D, 31020X275A, 3102MX274CRE, 3102MX275ARE, 3102MX275BRE, and 3102MX275DRE are affected; owners can identify the parts by those part numbers. An internal hardware failure in the control valve assembly’s inhibitor switch may cause the instrument panel to improperly display the transmission gear shifter indicator, violating FMVSS 102 and increasing crash risk. Dealers will inspect and replace the transmission control valve assembly as necessary free of charge; owner letters were mailed August 31, 2026, and Nissan’s recall number is PD199 (1-800-867-7669).
