It was recalled because it lacks adequate insulation between primary and secondary circuits so the secondary USB port can become live under mains voltage, risking electric shock, and it does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive or EN 60335-1. The distributor has been ordered to withdraw the product from the market and to recall it from consumers.
