PREPHONE USB charger sold as “FAST CHARGER” (models TRJ-01, TRJ-02; barcode 8013623002049; batch 17868/2300204) is a plastic USB charger with one USB Type‑A port, sold with a separate cable in a grey and blue cardboard box with a transparent plastic window, made in China. It was recalled because it lacks adequate insulation between the primary and secondary circuits, so the secondary USB port and connected cable can become live under mains voltage, creating an electric shock risk. The product has been withdrawn from the market and a compulsory product recall from consumers is being carried out by the distributor.

The hazard
