Ricon is recalling R1200 series 6-Way and 4-Way Power Transfer Seat Base (PTSB) motorized seat bases. The PTSB gear motor may fail to lock the seat in place when certain forces are applied, meaning the seats do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 207 and a moving seat may not properly restrain an occupant in a crash. The remedy is under development; interim owner notification letters were mailed April 14, 2026, another notice will be sent when the remedy is available, and owners may contact Ricon customer service at 1-800-322-2884.
