Renpure Tea Tree & Rosemary Scalp Rebalancing Shampoo and Conditioner sold as a green and white set of 2 × 946 mL bottles (clear and white liquids), exclusively at Costco Canada (item 8434044), with affected lot codes 2603C065 and 2604C066 (lot code on the bottom of the shampoo bottle), distributed May 10–12, 2026. The lots were recalled for elevated microbial levels including aerobic bacteria, yeast/mold and Burkholderia cepacia complex which may cause irritation or infections in susceptible people. Consumers should immediately stop using the product and return it to Costco Wholesale Canada for a refund.

How to identify it
This recall involves the Renpure Tea Tree & Rosemary Scalp Rebalancing Shampoo and Conditioner. The green and white bottles contain a clear and white liquid and are sold as a set of 2 x 946ml bottles. The product was exclusively retailed through Costco Canada with the item number 8434044 and affected lot codes 2603C065 and 2604C066. The lot code can be found on the bottom of the shampoo bottle.
The hazard
These lot codes have elevated microbial levels including aerobic bacteria count, yeast/mold count and Burkholderia cepacia complex which may cause irritation and sensitivity to the user.
People with certain health problems including weakened immune systems or chronic lung disease may be more susceptible to infections from B. cepacia. Yeast can cause fungal infections in individuals whose skin and/or immune system is compromised.
As of June 3, 2026, the company has received no reports of incident or injury in Canada.
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and return it to Costco Wholesale Canada for a refund.
