It is recalled because inadequate insulation between primary and secondary circuits can make the USB ports and connected cable live under mains voltage, posing an electric shock risk; it does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive or EN 60335‑1. The product is subject to a compulsory recall from consumers and compulsory withdrawal from the market by the distributor (Safety Gate alert SR/02577/26).

The hazard
