It was recalled because it lacks adequate insulation between primary and secondary circuits so the USB ports can become live at mains voltage, posing an electric shock risk, and it fails to meet the Low Voltage Directive and EN 60335‑1. The product is subject to a compulsory recall from consumers and compulsory withdrawal from the market.
