2019–2021 BMW X7 and Z4 and other models recall: lights and instruments

Affected vehicles are 2019–2021 BMW X7, Z4, X5, 8 Series; 2020–2021 BMW 3 Series, 2 Series, X6; and 2021 BMW 4 Series. Under certain conditions the windshield wiping system may not meet some Canadian regulatory requirements; the notice says this small error does not affect safety. This is not a recall and BMW has made changes to ensure new vehicles meet Canadian regulations.

The hazard

Under certain conditions, the windshield wiping system may not meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations.
