BraunAbility‑converted 2024–2025 Chrysler Pacifica and 2025 Honda/2025 Toyota Sienna vehicles fitted with certain Q'Straint QRT‑DELUXE or QRT‑MAX wheelchair retractors (part numbers Q8‑6200 or Q8‑6209) are affected; these retractors may not lock automatically. Because a wheelchair could move in a crash, BraunAbility recommends confirming the wheelchair is secured by attempting to move it before driving until repairs are completed, and will notify owners by mail to take the vehicle to a BraunAbility service center to inspect and, if necessary, replace the retractor(s).

The hazard
On certain vehicles converted for wheelchair access by BraunAbility, the wheelchair tie-down retractors may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the retractor(s) may not lock automatically. If this happens, the wheelchair may not be secured correctly and could move in a crash.
Note: This recall only affects certain Q'Straint QRT-DELUXE and QRT-MAX wheelchair retractors with the part number Q8-6200 or Q8-6209.
A wheelchair that moves in a crash could increase the risk of injury.
What to do
To reduce the safety risk, BraunAbility recommends you confirm the wheelchair is secured properly by attempting to move it before driving until the recall repairs have been completed. BraunAbility will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a BraunAbility service center to inspect and, if necessary, replace the wheelchair retractor(s).
