Cuisinart metal wire bristle grill brushes sold in Canada as part of the Cuisinart 20‑Piece Grill Set (stainless steel handle, “Cuisinart” stamped; UPC 817096012967; SKU 520486) and the Cuisinart 10‑Piece Grill Tools (wood handle, “Cuisinart” stamped; UPC 890084002799; SKU 611997) sold December 2017–March 2026 are affected. They were recalled because small metal wire bristles can detach and stick to the grill or food, posing an ingestion and serious internal injury hazard; consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact Crate & Barrel Canada for a refund.

The hazard
Small metal wire bristles, from certain Cuisinart-branded metal wire bristle grill brushes, can detach from the brushes and stick to the grill or food, posing an ingestion hazard and risk of serious internal injuries that could require surgery.
As of August 26, 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Crate & Barrel Canada for a refund.
