Health Canada found they do not meet the Corded Window Coverings Regulations and can pose strangulation and choking hazards because looped cords can entangle young children and the product can release small parts. In addition, the products can also release small parts that present a choking hazard to young children.
Health Canada recommends cordless window coverings. For more information on the hazard, see Window Covering Safety.
