2023–2025 Alfa Romeo TONALE and HORNET SUVs are affected. A software problem could cause the daytime running lights (DRLs) not to turn on, meaning the vehicles may not meet Canadian regulations and could be less visible, increasing crash risk. FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise taking the vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle software.

The hazard
On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the daytime running lights (DRLs) not to turn on. As a result, the vehicles may not meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations.
DRLs that don't turn on could reduce visibility and make the vehicle less visible to others. These issues could increase the risk of a crash.
What to do
FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle software.
