2024–2026 Ford MUSTANG recall: visual system

2024–2026 Ford Mustang vehicles are affected; owners can identify them by year and model. A fault with the windshield wiper motor can cause the wipers to operate only at high speed and the windshield washing system to fail in cold temperatures, reducing visibility and increasing crash risk. Ford will notify owners by mail and advise taking the vehicle to a dealership for inspection and, if necessary, replacement of the windshield wiper motor.

How to identify it

2024–2026 Ford MUSTANG

The hazard

On certain vehicles, a problem with the windshield wiper motor could cause it not to work properly in cold temperatures. If this happens, the windshield wipers may only operate at their high-speed setting and the windshield washing system may not work.

Windshield wipers and a windshield washing system that don't work properly can reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

What to do

Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the windshield wiper motor.
