2026 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty and Chassis Cab trucks, specifically single rear wheel vehicles with a 10.5‑inch rear axle (including certain Super Duty incomplete vehicles), are affected. The right‑rear axle shaft may not have been manufactured properly and could break, causing loss of power to the wheels or allowing a parked truck to roll away. Ford will notify owners by mail and advise taking the truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the right‑rear axle shaft.

The hazard
On certain trucks, the right-rear axle shaft may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the axle shaft could break and cause a loss of power to the wheels. Additionally, if the truck is parked and the parking brake isn't applied, the truck could roll away.
Note: This recall only affects single rear wheel trucks with 10.5-inch rear axle. This recall also affects certain Super Duty incomplete vehicles.
A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A parked vehicle that rolls away could also create the risk of an injury or a crash.
What to do
Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the the right-rear axle shaft.
