2026 Ford E-TRANSIT recall: high voltage

2026 Ford E-TRANSIT light truck and van (including certain incomplete vehicles) is recalled in Canada. One or more bolts that secure electrical connections in the high-voltage battery may be missing a washer, which can let the bus bar loosen and cause electrical arcing (sparks) and/or a loss of power to the wheels; arcing can create a fire risk and loss of power could increase the risk of a crash. Ford will notify owners by mail and advise taking the vehicle to a dealership to inspect the bus bar; if washers are missing, the bus bar will be replaced.
