2014 Ford F-150 pickup trucks in Canada are affected; identify by model year 2014 and F-150 branding. Certain trucks' previous recall 24S37 repairs may not have been done correctly, and a faulty output shaft speed sensor can cause the transmission to suddenly downshift to first gear, creating a loss of control and risk of a crash. Ford will notify owners by mail and advise taking the truck to a dealership to update the powertrain control module software.
