Vehicles Canada Vehicle recall

2020–2022 Ford F-350 SUPER DUTY and F-450 SUPER DUTY and other models recall: visual system

2020–2022 Ford F-350, F-450 and F-250 Super Duty trucks equipped with a 360-degree camera system are affected; you can recognise them by the model/year and the presence of the 360-degree camera feature. A software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to display correctly, which could reduce rear visibility and increase crash risk. Ford will notify owners by mail and advise taking the truck to a dealership to update the image processing module (IPMB) software.

The hazard

On certain trucks, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to display correctly.

Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 360-degree camera system.

A rearview camera image that doesn't display correctly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash.

What to do

Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to update the image processing module (IPMB) software.
