2024–2025 Lincoln NAUTILUS SUVs are affected. A prior recall repair may not have been completed correctly and a software problem when using the key fob “global close” can prevent the window automatic reversal system from working, so a window may not stop or retract and could close with too much force, posing an injury risk. Ford will notify owners by mail and advise taking the vehicle to a dealership to update the driver and passenger door module software.
How to identify it
2024–2025 Lincoln NAUTILUS
The hazard
On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 25C36 (Transport Canada recall no. 2025-413) may not have been done correctly. As a result, another repair is required.
When using the key fob "global close" feature to close the windows, a software problem could cause the window automatic reversal system not to work. If this happens, a window may not stop and retract after detecting an object. As a result, the vehicles may not meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations.
A window that closes with too much force could create a risk of injury.
What to do
Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the driver and passenger door module software.
