2017 Ford ESCAPE SUVs by FORD are affected; vehicles for which dealer repairs under recall 16C12 (Transport Canada recall no. 2016‑410) may not have been done correctly can be identified as impacted. Because the window automatic reversal system may not react correctly and could allow the window to close with excessive force, Ford will notify owners by mail and advise taking the vehicle to a dealership to update the power window automatic reversal system software.
