2025–2026 East To West ALTA recall: label

2025–2026 East To West ALTA RV trailers by Forest River are affected; owners can recognize them by the model name ALTA and the 2025–2026 model years. They were recalled because the compliance label lists the wrong cargo-carrying capacity (CCC) and gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), which could allow overloading and lead to poor handling or a tire failure that may cause loss of control and a crash. Forest River will mail a new compliance label to owners, and dealers can install it free of charge if help is requested.

How to identify it

2025–2026 East To West ALTA

The hazard

On certain RV trailers, the compliance label lists the wrong cargo-carrying capacity (CCC) and gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). This could lead to overloading of the trailer and cause poor handling or a tire failure.

Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of vehicle control and result in a crash

What to do

Forest River will mail a new compliance label to each owner. If you'd like help to install it, you can contact a Forest River dealer to have it installed free of charge.
